Annual Riverfront Chalk Festival & Art Contest

Come enjoy music, food trucks, and activities while soaking up the last moments of summer at Amazement Square’s Annual Riverfront Chalk Festival & Art Contest! Artists of all ages, backgrounds and abilities are invited to register for the chalk art contest and compete for coveted prizes.
9:00 AM – Check in & Chalk Distribution
10:00 AM – Contestants may begin drawing
1:30 PM – Chalk Down and Judging Begins
Advanced (suggested ages 18+): $40
Intermediate (suggested ages 13 - 17): $25
Beginner (suggested ages 12 and under): $15
College Teams (current students attending the same school; teams must be between 2-5 people): $50 per team
Registration closes on August 13th at 5:00pm.
Each registration for the Chalk Festival includes one reserved 4’ x 4’ square and chalk sticks. Advanced category receives white, black, red, yellow, blue, violet, and brown. Intermediate and Beginner categories receive red, white, yellow, green, orange, blue, teal, purple and pink. Outside materials are permitted but must be provided by artist.
College Teams – please use one team member’s name and contact information as the primary registrant. There is a place to add additional team member names and the school you are with.
There will be free draw with chalk in a designated area for those wishing to draw but not participate in the competition. This part of the festival will not be juried and will not require registration.
